Our Homestead

News from the farm; we now have an official name--'Wildermirth Farm'

In case anyone wonders, here's how our name came into being:
1993, Tammy and I sat in her car beside a tumbledown house on Beedle Road while a warm spring rain pelted the roof. We'd come to dig lemon lilies from the dooryard. Weeds had nearly suffocated the remains of the garden. Peonies, iris, phlox were in dire need of rescue. I knew the woman who's once tended these blossoms would welcome us coming by to untangle, transplant and assume responsibility for those she loved.
Old Mrs. Wildermirth, I called her, thinking of joyful laughter amid the wild.
